The Bund

Situated on the western bank of the Huangpu River, the Bund is one of Shanghai’s most well-known tourist destinations. It is well-known for both its breathtaking river vistas and its distinctive international architectural complex. The Bund’s history began in the 19th century, when it served as Shanghai’s financial and commercial hub and was the location of many notable structures constructed by European powers.

Admiring the night view of the Bund is one of the top thing to do in Shanghai. As the city lights up, the neon glow on both sides of the river creates a beautiful and harmonious scene. Take a Huangpu River cruise or ferry to feel the breeze and enjoy the view. On one side, the Bund reflects Shanghai’s rich history, while the modern Lujiazui skyline offers a striking contrast.
