01 Arrival in Xishuangbanna

Itinerary:
Morning: Make your own way to the local airport or train station to arrive in Xishuangbanna by flight or high-speed train. One day before your arrival, our customer service will send your pick-up team's contact details to your phone. Upon landing, please keep your phone on and accessible. After collecting your luggage, exit through Domestic Arrival Exit A or C into the arrivals hall, where our staff will promptly contact you. They will then escort you to your hotel and assist with luggage and check-in.
Afternoon & Evening: Today is free for your own activities. If you arrive early, we recommend visiting the popular Gaozhuang Night Market in downtown Xishuangbanna. Alternatively, head to the Riverside Night Market Food Court to sample authentic Yunnan snacks like stinky tofu, pineapple rice, fresh fruit juices, and many more of the region's 100+ street food varieties. Immerse yourself in the unique "Rainforest Dai Village" vibe by tasting local favorites such as Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodles, hotpot with bean rice, marinated er kuai, cold rice noodles, mixed snacks, rice with shrimp, buckwheat buns, wheat cakes, and herbal roast chicken.
Travel Tips:
UV rays in Yunnan are strong, and the weather can change quickly. Be sure to bring sunscreen, an umbrella, and a jacket.
Roads often pass through mountainous terrain, so travel times between cities may be long. We provide some snacks to keep you comfortable.
Xishuangbanna has noticeable temperature differences between day and night—dress accordingly.

Morning: After breakfast, head to Wild Elephant Valley for a memorable rainforest encounter with Asian elephants. Here, you’ll have the chance to see elephants up close and learn about their lives and growth. Then, relax at the Rainforest Amphitheater, a natural open-air stage. This stage offers a one-of-a-kind ecological "show," accompanied by the morning mist and the calls of gibbons echoing through the jungle.
Afternoon: Transfer to Pu'er and explore the Rhino Ridge Scenic Area at Pu'er National Park. Stroll through pristine forest trails and discover lush landscapes where mountains, rivers, and wildlife thrive together. Highlights include Monkey Paradise, Gibbon Peninsula, Fern Trail, and more, ideal for nature lovers looking to connect with wildlife in a peaceful, untouched setting.

Afternoon: In the afternoon, head to Nuogan Ancient Village in Lancang, a centuries-old Dai ethnic village nestled in the mountains. Meander through stone-paved paths, admire the traditional stilted wooden houses, and visit the village's serene Buddhist temple. With its emerald hills and gentle streams, Nuogan offers a rare glimpse into a slower way of life and the enduring heritage of the Dai people.

Afternoon: In the late afternoon, head to Laodabao Village, home to the lively Lahu people. Known for its vibrant music culture, Laodabao offers a unique opportunity to experience the fusion of rhythm and tradition. After exploring the village, we'll return to Xishuangbanna.

Wengji Ancient Blang Village (Free Entry): Nestled in Jingmai Mountain, Wengji is one of the few ancient Blang villages. Known for its "Five Ancient Integrations": traditional architecture, customs, a 3,000-year-old cypress tree, ancient tea trees, and a rich tea culture, this village offers a truly authentic experience. Visit traditional tea workshops, ancient homes, and enjoy folk dances and festivals that celebrate the Blang way of life.
Laodabao Lahu Village (Free Entry): A hub for Lahu culture, Laodabao is famous for its well-preserved traditional wooden houses and vibrant music scene.
