Today: Arrive in Xi'an on your own by train or flight. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the airport or train station to provide a private transfer to your hotel.
After check-in, take a short break. If time allows, explore the city at your leisure. We recommend a visit to Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Square or the vibrant Great Tang All Day Mall, where dazzling lights and Tang-style sculptures offer a glimpse into ancient Chang'an by night.

02 Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor - Hukou Waterfall

Morning: Start your day with a visit to the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, perched on Qiaoshan Mountain. This revered site is believed to be the final resting place of Xuanyuan Huangdi, the legendary ancestor of the Chinese people. Stroll through the serene grounds, where Han-style structures like the main gate, Sincerity Pavilion, Stele Pavilion, and the Hall of the First Ancestor reflect the solemn beauty of ancient Chinese architecture.
Afternoon: Continue to the magnificent Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River. The roaring waters plunge into the canyon below, creating golden mist and thunderous waves. This powerful waterfall is not only a stunning natural wonder, but also a vivid symbol of the resilience and spirit of the Chinese nation.
Evening: Enjoy free time in the evening. For a taste of local culture and nightlife, we recommend a stroll along Yan'an Red Street or a visit to the Jin Yan'an Tourism Resort.

Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor (Ticket Included): Located about 1 km from downtown Huangling, this sacred site sits atop Qiaoshan Mountain and commemorates Xuanyuan Huangdi, the legendary progenitor of the Chinese people. Among the various tombs claiming to honor the Yellow Emperor, this is the only one recognized as a National Key Cultural Heritage Site. Surrounded by ancient cypress forests, the complex includes both the mausoleum and Xuanyuan Temple—home to traditional Han-style structures such as the main gate, Sincerity Pavilion, Stele Pavilion, and the Hall of the First Human Ancestor.
Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River (Ticket Included): Located in the dramatic Qinjin Grand Canyon between Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, Hukou Waterfall lies about 35 km east of Yichuan County. Here, the Yellow River narrows abruptly from 400 meters to 50 before plunging 30 meters into a rocky gorge—creating a spectacle of roaring waves and mist that resemble water gushing from a kettle spout, hence its name. Known for its golden, sediment-rich waters, it's one of the world's rare yellow waterfalls. More than a visual wonder, the waterfall stands as a symbol of national strength and unity.

03 Yan'an Red Legacy - Yangjialing & Zaoyuan Revolutionary Sites

Itinerary:
Morning: Step into Yan'an's revolutionary legacy with visits to two of its most historically significant sites. Begin at the Yangjialing Revolutionary Site, once the main headquarters of the Chinese Communist Party during its time in Yan'an. Tour the Central Auditorium, where key meetings took place, and feel the weight of a pivotal era in China's modern history. Next, visit the Zaoyuan Revolutionary Site, a serene compound that served as the residence and office for top Party leaders, including Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai. Stroll through their preserved living quarters, the Secretariat Auditorium, and other historic buildings that offer a deeper understanding of this powerful chapter in Chinese history.

Yangjialing Revolutionary (Free entry): Located about 3 km northwest of downtown Yan'an, Yangjialing was the longest-serving base of the Chinese Communist Party during the Yan'an period. The Party relocated here after Japanese air raids in 1938 and remained until October 1943. From this location, landmark campaigns such as the Yan'an Rectification Movement and the Great Production Campaign were launched.
Zaoyuan Revolutionary Site (Free entry): From 1944 to March 1947, the Central Committee moved from Yangjialing to Zaoyuan. Although the original site suffered extensive damage after the Party's withdrawal in 1947, it has since been reconstructed. Once a rural landlord's estate with scenic charm, Zaoyuan now includes: Secretariat's Small Auditorium, Residences of key leaders, Central medical clinic, etc.
