Overview

Located at the south of the city, Badaguan is one of Qingdao’s leading attractions. As known as the Eight Great Passes, it’s a historical mansion area that is criss-crossed with eight streets.

Qingdao has been taken by Germany during 1897 to 1914, when the first western building showing up in here. This area coming to a certain scale in 1930s, contains over 200 buildings that covers a variety of architectural styles, includes Gothic, Byzantine, Baroque, Rococo, etc. The majority of them are serving as mansion for the bigwigs in politics and business, or the consulate of Britain, Germany, the Unite States and some other western countries.
