Xiamen University

Xiamen University, or XMU for short, is generally recognized as the most beautiful university in southern China. XMU was established in 1921 by Mr. Tan Kah Kee who is a renowned overseas Chinese leader. Xiamen university is organized into four campuses, including a branch in Malaysia that is  acknowledged as the first overseas branch campus established by Chinese university. Located at the southwest of the Xiamen island and right next to the Botanical Garden and South Putuo Temple, Siming campus is the major one to XMU. All the buildings, greens and lakes, the fine maintenance are given to every corner of this campus, making it a nice place to stroll in and get you to learn more about this city. Appreciate the innovation in Furong tunnel, graffiti covering walls that are written by students, or enjoy the Baicheng Beach just right behind the south gate. The campus has become a famous tourist destination, but still, the atmosphere of peace and order needs to be followed, and kept it as a university what should be like.
