Yu Garden

Yu Garden, located on Fuyou Road in Huangpu District, Shanghai, is one of the five great classical gardens of Jiangnan and a uniquely charming example of private gardens in the region. With its quintessential Jiangnan-style landscape, Yu Garden seamlessly blends elegant architecture with serene water features, embodying the refined and exquisite artistic style of Ming and Qing dynasty southern gardens. The garden is home to many intricately designed structures, carvings, and rock formations, with notable attractions including Huxin Pavilion, Sansui Hall, and Dianchun Hall. Beyond its stunning architecture and scenic beauty, Yu Garden offers a rich cultural experience through calligraphy exhibitions, guqin (ancient zither) performances, floral art displays, and other traditional activities, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the essence of Chinese heritage while enjoying the garden’s tranquil ambiance.
